The "Clenbuterol" that people are both familiar and disgusted with appeared again ghostly, and it made us worried. How to ensure food safety? Advanced detection technology is one of the important means to ensure food safety. Recently, Shimadzu introduced a combined ultra-high performance liquid chromatograph LC-30A and triple quadrupole mass spectrometer LCMS-8030 to determine clenbuterol, ractopamine and salbutamol in pork.

Clenbuterol is a kind of animal medicine. Adding clenbuterol to feed can increase the amount of lean animal meat, reduce the use of feed, make the meat market faster, and reduce costs. In China, the commonly referred to as "Clenbuterol" refers to clenbuterol. It was once used as a medicine to treat bronchial asthma, but it was later banned due to its excessive side effects. At present, the substance that can achieve this function is a class of drugs called β-agonists, such as ractopamine and salbutamol, which can also play a "lean" role, but are too harmful to human health, thus causing safety Hidden dangers. They are therefore banned globally. my country has also clearly included it in the "Catalogue of Drug Species Prohibited to Use in Feed and Drinking Water for Animals" in 2002. For the detection of clenbuterol, the limit of quantification stipulated in my country's SNT 1924-2007 method standard is uniformly 0.5 μg/kg. The Clenbuterol limit standard in Japan's positive list is stricter, which is 0.05 μg/kg. Therefore, the detection requirements for Clenbuterol in products exported to Japan are higher.

Using Shimadzu Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry to detect clenbuterol, ractopamine and salbutamol in pork, first, after the sample is extracted, it is quickly separated by ultra performance liquid chromatography LC-30A, triple quadrupole The rod mass spectrometer LCMS-8030 was used for quantitative analysis. This method has fast analysis speed, good precision, wide linear range (0.05-100 ng/mL), and the correlation coefficient of the calibration curve is above 0.999. The limit of quantification of the method meets the requirements of the national standard of 0.5 μg/kg, and the limit of quantification of the method for the detection of clenbuterol in pork can reach 0.05 μg/kg, and the detection sensitivity fully meets the requirements of the Japanese positive list.
