The gas pipeline inside Shimadzu atomic absorption can withstand a pressure of 15-20 (1-2MPa) kg. If there is a problem with the customer’s pressure reducing valve and the output pressure exceeds the ultimate pressure, the pipeline will burst, causing unnecessary problems. It even threatens safety, so the following treatments should be done after stopping the use of the instrument:
1. For the remaining gas emission, there is a special remaining gas emission menu in the menu of the flame method, and during the installation, the engineer will focus on explaining that the user should pay enough attention. There is no special menu for the gas emission of the graphite furnace, but you can first set a low temperature graphite furnace heating program, a longer heating time, and close the main valve of the argon cylinder after the heating program starts. The sign of clean gas discharge is the secondary pressure gauge showing 0.
2. Close the main valve of the gas cylinder. Generally, the pressure of the new argon cylinder is about 50 kg (5MPa), and the pressure of acetylene is generally about 15 kg (1.5MPa). Please confirm that the main valve of the gas cylinder has good airtightness and no leakage.
3. Completely loosen the secondary pressure regulating valve. This pressure determines the pressure of the gas entering the instrument. If the valve is not good, there may be the following problems:
A. The actual pressure may exceed the displayed pressure, making the output pressure unpredictable and controllable;
B. After adjusting the pressure, the pressure may not stabilize, but continue to pressurize upward, gradually approaching the main valve pressure of the gas cylinder;
C. It may suddenly jump to a high pressure when starting up;
Abnormal output pressure will cause the problems mentioned at the beginning.
Before using the instrument every day, when opening the gas cylinder, make sure that the secondary pressure gauge is in the normal indicating 0 position, first open the main cylinder valve, and then slowly adjust the secondary pressure to the appropriate position to ensure that the pressure when the gas enters the instrument is the one used by the instrument The required pressure, so as to avoid damage to the instrument due to the failure of the pressure reducing valve.
When purchasing a pressure reducing valve, do not choose a pressure reducing valve that is too cheap. Be sure to buy a quality-assured pressure reducing valve. Make every effort to avoid the recurrence of things and affect the installation and normal use of Shimadzu instruments.
